Alfred Martin November 26, 1947 - December 8, 2024

With heavy and broken hearts, we announce the passing of our loving father, Alfred Martin of Little Hearts Ease, formerly of Wabush, NL. He was surrounded by his loving wife of 54 years and his 3 children.  Leaving to mourn are his wife Cassie, son Randy (Erin), daughter Violet (Andrew) and daughter Jeanna. Also leaving to mourn are his 8 grandchildren, Brianna, Brittney, Brooke, Brody, McCaiah, Cody, Tyler and Riley, brothers Russell (Kathleen), Ted (Barbara), Alex (Shelley), Neville (Jutta), Cluney (Dana) and sister Leonie plus many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Predeceased by his mother and father Frederick and Dorothy Martin, his brothers Nathan, Harry and sister Lena. Our dad was the most kind and compassionate person we knew. He loved people and life and enjoyed it as much as he could despite his life long health problems.  He loved his family immensely and always made sure they knew they were loved. He was the best father and husband we ever could’ve asked for. He will be dearly missed. We look forward to the time when the scripture in Revelation 21:3 & 4 will be fulfilled when ‘God will wipe out every tear from our eyes and death and pain will be no more.’  Also Job 14:14 &15 will be fulfilled when ‘God will call and dad will answer.
Cremation has taken place.

My father in law was a great person, he did without several times in his life to help others. We often hear of someone who would give you the shirt of his back, Alfred was that person! He will be missed, I’m happy that he was a big part in my life, and look forward soon to the resurrection hope at Revelation 21:3, 4, where it reads “With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” We miss you and love you!
