Alfred Clarence Rodway February 28, 1935 - March 26, 2022

RODWAY, Alfred – Passed peacefully away after a short illness at Clarenville Retirement Centre, surrounded by his children Robin, Wendy, Jackie, Monique, Heidi and Jenny, Alfred Rodway of Clarenville, formerly of Kingwell, age 87 years.  Predeceased by parents Lily and Frank Rodway; brother Peter; sisters Olive Boutcher and Bertha Eighmy.  Left with fond and loving memories his children Robin Rodway (Jenny), Wendy Brinston (Gordon), Jackie Rodway, Monique Nahanni (John) and Heidi Rodway (Chris Drodge); grandchildren Jonathan, Kayla, Brad, Sara, Anna, Charlie, Harley, Corgan, Ivy and Corey; great grandchildren Logan, Max, Jenna, Lucas, Connor, Parker and Jorja; sister Ivy Davis (late Egdar Davis) and her children Barb and Donna; and a large circle of family and friends.  Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville.  Visitation on Sunday, March 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2022 at Memorial United Church, Clarenville with interment to follow at United Church Cemetery, Church Hill, Clarenville.  In his memory, flowers are gratefully accepted.

    To the Rodway families: We were saddened to learn of Alf’s passing. We both knew him for a long time going back to the days when he was a mechanic at the car dealership. He always had a warm smile about him. We extend our condolences to the family.

    We are so sorry to hear of Alf’s passing. Thinking back, I have known him over 60 years following him and Lorna everywhere they went, as much as they tried to get away from us ( Sharon and me).     Our Arizona condolences to all of the family. We didn’t have much time with him but we always knew of him and mom shared so many stories of him. I feel blessed I was able to have a recent visit to see him and for the FaceTime family visits. He is missed near and far and may he rest now with the Lord and keep watch over us as he joins my mother, his parents and his other heavenly family.
