Dear Kerri, Ryder, Reese and Riley-Lynn, (and Marlo)

I wanted to reach out to you all and express my profound sadness at hearing about Sean’s passing. I worked with Sean on two mandates with CGI here in Ottawa and he was an integral part of our team and our supreme friend. He stepped up, every day and lent his hand to anything going. He was a helper by nature, and would offer his expertise all the time, no matter how little or big the job was. We used to go to Timmies for coffee in the morning, and he would always buy an extra coffee or a sandwich and give it to whichever homeless person was outside the church as we passed by. That’s the kind of man he was. He was grateful for his life, and it showed when he rode his bike, or talked about how proud he was of his kids, or when he raised a glass to cheer on a teammate at a particular milestone or another. No better friend to all. Kind and empathetic, and unsung often times. He liked to keep a low profile, never keen on drawing attention to himself. He had a way of telling a story that was second to none. We all heard fabulous stories of his life growing up in Clarenville. They will always remain with me. His impact was so great. Here in Ottawa, we all mourn Sean’s loss with you. My deepest condolences to you all, and his family.

I’m just Heartbroken , we all lost a good one here. I worked with Sean for many years at CGI in Ottawa, He was such a friendly humorous and generous man and could tell the most colorful stories about his home town and even with current events. Being from New Brunswick we always compared the down east sayings from each other’s hometown. Sending all the hugs possible to all Family and Friends during this difficult time.

Sean was a very valued colleague of mine at GAC. He was always very cheerful and always gave his best for his colleagues and for our clients. He had a very important and positive contribution to our team’s work. But most of all, Sean had a very sweet, kind and fun-loving personality. I will miss him very very much.

Sean thank you so much for being a friend first, a colleague second, for being so supportive at work and for just being you. I just wish I could call you up on TEAMS and tell you live. You’d probably say Awwww! and giggle!

My deepest deepest condolences to Sean’s wife Kerri, his children, his whole extended family and his friends. I can’t imagine your loss. We could tell by how he spoke about you that he loved you very much.

Kerri and family, Uncle Dennis, Aunt Martha, Kim, Lori and families…Chris, Jeremy, Keshia and I are deeply saddened to hear of Sean’s passing. We have fond memories of Sean growing up and of Kerri and Sean when they first moved to Ottawa and stayed with us for a short time. Sean was a quiet subdued man but could brighten our day with a funny remark or joke but his giggle would make us laugh more. He loved you Kerri beyond words and was dedicated to you and the children.  It breaks our hearts that you were taken unexpectedly. Your memory will never leave us and lives on in our hearts.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.  Words will not wipe away your tears and hugs may not ease the pain, but hold onto your memories because forever they will remain.

Chris, Karen, Jeremy, Keshia and families

Sean leaving this life is a sad day. I worked with him at Cognos for four years. His love for life was contagious, he was a good friend. This news is shocking, and very sad, but I am pleased he managed to return home from Gatineau to NFLD, as he was very determined to get his family to the safety and security from where he was brought up. Please accept my condolences Kerri. Our family sends love and light to you and your kids.

I’m a cyclist friend of Sean from Aylmer. First, allow me to present you with my deepest and most profound condolences. I’d also like to offer you condolences on behalf of the entire AYP family (Aylmer Postal 📬). I wanted to tell you that your brother had a cult following on Strava, an application where we share bike rides and plan cycling adventures. It connects fellow bike aficionados and has allowed me and my AYP crew to meet Sean many years ago. It also allowed us to stay connected with Sean on a daily basis even after he moved back to Newfoundland. Sean was and always will be a legend to us. The amount of mileage he was able to put on his bikes in a year was incredible, and he allowed us to discover a bunch of secret trails and creative routes we would have never know about was it not for his sense of exploration and adventure. To this day I visit the Boucher forest in Aylmer many times a week, thanks to Sean. The first time I ever visited this small and special forest in Aylmer, it was with him as a guide of our group of newbies. We had a blast, and we have all been hooked on that place ever since. He has done so much intangible good to our cycling community in Aylmer, and for that we will be eternally grateful. I enjoy this sport more thanks to him. I can say in all honesty he has been one of most influential cyclists for me, he just had a different way of doing it then most riders. He has changed the way I commute. He was always using his creativity to create routes that were exciting even if it was only to grab a pint of milk at the store, and has inspired me to do the same. Again we are all deeply saddened by this news and wanted to acknowledge the gratitude we feel for having had the privilege to have Sean in our lives. Legends never die, we will remember him forever.

Julien and the AYP family, rest in power Sean!

I will miss Sean dearly. We often exchanged text over the last few years and spoke as well. I missed his call during this Christmas. I will always remember Sean as a thoughtful person (opening doors for everyone), the biker that biked so many miles each year and a person you can enjoy anytime in conversation. Missing you as i type this note. My condolences to Sean’s wife and kids and family.

Sean was a valued member on our larger team! While we did not work regularly together, I had the privilege of interviewing Sean on our project for an important Survey. We shared stories of having moved back to our home town’s in order to be close to family. It was energizing to hear how thrilled Sean was to be back in Newfoundland with family close by.

My sincere condolences to Sean’s wife and family. There are no words for your loss.
